when we wake up

When we wake up,
when we wake up, wasted
when we wake up, wasted electrified

When we wake up wasted electrified – I’m porous of mind
synaptic fizz ‘neath a covering of woman hide;
hazy gelatinous woman hide.

And when we wake up wasted electrified – the sky is amplified
horse stepping – twelve feet down – multiplied
ain’t no mud or dirt or water drunk to gracefully accept our feet bare, here.

When we wake up wasted electrified – this whole damn house is solidified
cobwebbed – twelve feet high – preened to testify
auto-suggestive of my libidinal nymph(atic system) now liquefied

When we wake up wasted electrified – this eye is a diamond sky
with the velveteen sheen of a paralytic clean
and I’m mystified – bewildered by a chaotic paradigm

can’t run to eden satisfied
can’t even fly
